Brad Bergesen got his 3rd win of the year on an outstanding 8 inning shut out start. Bergy struck out 6 batters and helped the Orioles turn things around after their terrible west coast road trip.
Things looked great for the O’s in the first, Adam Jones scored a runner on a fielders choice and Melvin Mora hit a deep fly ball to left field that appeared to be a homerun. However a fan interfered with the ball and the Umpire’s called it an out after an official review. So the O’s have had 2 calls go against them on replay this season.
Nolan Reimold hit his 7th homerun of the year in the 5th inning that put the O’s up 2-0. Then he singled in the 6th to give the O’s a 3-0 lead by driving in Aubrey Huff.
George Sherrill came in to get the save, he surrendered one run to blow the shutout but the O’s won 3-1.
