The Orioles snapped a 6 game losing streak on Monday against the Tampa Bay Rays at the Trop.
Nick Markakis got things started early with a 3-run homer in the top of the 1st before an out was even recorded. The Rays responded in the 1st and 2nd with 2 runs of their own, one coming off the bat of an Evan Longoria homerun.
Adam Eaton kept the Orioles in the game with a 5 inning outing surrendering 4 earned runs.
Tampa stayed in the game through 7, but in the 8th Gregg Zaun hit a double and was driven in by Brian Roberts who gave the O’s an 8-4 lead.
George Sherrill came in during the 9th inning in a non-save situation. He made things exciting giving up a walk and a single, but didn’t surrender a run.
