Buck ShowalterAfter Adam Jones leveled Red Sox catcher Jarrod Saltalamacchia at the plate on Thursday, pay back was sure to come for the Baltimore Orioles star center fielder.  Boston pitcher Clay Buccholz hit Jones square in the back during his second at-bat in the bottom of the third inning.

Jones hustled down to first and after Matt Wieters grounded into a double play to end the inning, he jawed back to Buccholz as he headed towards the dugout.

We’ll file it away,” Orioles skipper Buck Showalter told reporters after the game.

The Red Sox, 12.5 games back of first place in the AL East, salvaged one game of the three game set in Baltimore.  The O’s are 8-4 against Boston this season.
