John Harbaugh and the Ravens coaches have seen enough from kick returner David Reed who fumbled twice and was flagged for an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty on Sunday against the Seahawks.  Harbaugh told CSN Baltimore’s John Eisenberg that the Ravens are looking for their kick returner.

“We’re looking for the best guy to do that,” Harbaugh said, implying that the team intends to find Reed’s replacement.  So who’s next up?

“Probably Webb is our best guy, if you look at it,” Harbaugh said, “but he’s a starting cornerback. And he’s our punt returner, so you can’t put too much on any one guy’s plate.”  Remember that Webb was injured on special team in 2009.

Reed becomes that latest player to be placed in Harbaugh’s doghouse, despite (as Eisenberg points out) leading the NFL in kickoff return average last season.  Reed apologized to his teammates after the game and said he was just as confused by his fumbles since he didn’t drop a ball at all last season.
