It seems like Adam Jones is constantly fouling balls off his feet in shins. That’s what happens when you make contact with just about every pitch. If you asked Jones, I think he’d tell you that he’ll take the pain considering he’s hit three homers and driven in seven over his last four games.

He also has 106 extra-base hits since the start of 2012, the third most behind Miguel Cabrera (118) and Robinson Cano (109). Yeah, he looks good at the plate.

Before reaching third on an error by Josh Hamilton in the bottom of the eighth on Wednesday, Jones hit one of the more painful foul balls you’ll ever see.

And, of course, we GIF’ed it after the bump.

  1. After this hit, Jones later sang saprano at the Sting concert that Zach and I went to…

  2. That’s what he gets for swinging at a ball so far off the plate….no plate discipline whatsoever. Once he gets that, he will be a great player versus a very good one.
