Look, I’m as big of an O’s fan as they come. I don’t miss a game. But if you happened to fall asleep in your recliner during the 2 hour and 25 minute rain delay, no worries. Not only do we have an excellent recap for you below, but you really didn’t miss that much as an Oriole fan.
Adam Eaton might be the Bird’s biggest disappointment of the season. He had a great start against Chicago, but everything he’s shown since then has been Steve Trachsel-esque. Eaton pitched 5 innings surrendering 7 earned runs, including a big 4 run inning in the 4th. Eaton has gone past the 5th inning in just two of his starts this season and his ERA is nearing 8.
Thankfully, Dave Trembley used Mark Hendrickson (he’s in the bullpen now) to be the long reliever to save some guys for the next two games.
Hendrickson looked good in the 6th, but gave up a 2 out RBI double to Alberto Callaspo in the 7th.
The O’s scored early on Zack Greinke with an RBI single off the bat of Aubrey Huff in the 3rd, but after that it was lights out.
Rich Hill will be on the mound for the O’s tonight in Kansas City. Still no word on the roster move.

Ahh…the nightmare that was Steve Trachsel. I thought it was gone, but now you have brought it back!
I try to forget. I really do…but Trachsel will haunt me for a while.
