In addition to his comments about Jameel McClain’s fine, John Harbaugh let a fan have it on his WBAL radio show.
According to Ravens insider, Harbaugh defended the Ravens after a fan asked about the team’s performance against the Steelers.
“I’m proud of this football team,” Harbaugh said. “I’m proud of our defense. I’m proud of our offense. We will fight our tails off to be the best team we can every single week.”
Then he got a bit testy.
“If that’s not enough for you then go find another team to cheer for. If you’re not proud of this team then you don’t know football,” Harbaugh said.
Did the coach go overboard in his response?
Typical Harbaugh! Arrogant ass! So if you don't like Harbaugh or are critical of the team then you have to find another team? Man, if Billick said this the clowns would be all over it! So Harbaugh wants to have a cult where you don't go against him or how he runs his team? Jackass!
Hey Bisciotti! If you read this you better have Harbaugh on the carpet because you don't ever tell a fan who lines your pockets to find another team. Or tell them they don't know football.

I'm starting to agree with your but keep Billick's name out of it. If Hardballs doesn't like the heat of being an NFL head coach, maybe he should resign and look for a specials teams job somewhere, maybe for his brother once Michigan fires Rodriguez.
Billick rocked and I am sad that he is not here. That beings said, getting rid of Harbs is not going to bring him back. So look out there and tell me who is a more viable option. You want Chucky? You want Wade Phillips? You want Marty Schottenheimer? Actually, I would love Schottenheimer? Brad Childress is out there.
Rookie head coach, rookie QB – 2 years. Both playoffs. Most likely a 3rd year for that. I have no idea where you're getting your information from!
Arrogant? He's one of 5 coaches that travels overseas to visit our troops. He's been nothing but good for Baltimore. Want to talk about arrogant, then talk about Belichick.
Harbaugh is a Christian man unafraid to profess his faith and does a lot of nice things like visiting the troops. But, he is often condescending to the media and the fans and this is the latest example.
Hardball is a jerk, he is a hypocrite and a whiner and any fan should be able to question the team, or God forbid, question him
Monday: Noting the team’s average gain of 3.6 yards per rush, Harbaugh said: “That is completely unacceptable for the type of team we want to be.”
“We have to run the ball better, we have to protect the quarterback better,” Harbaugh said
Tuesday: "I'm proud of our defense. I'm proud of our offense. …If that's not enough for you then go find another team to cheer for. If you're not proud of this team, then you don't know football."
This is why 2488 and I question Harbs. Just the latest example.
Ignoring context and meaning you can make quotes say whatever they want. It is possible to see that your team needs improvement, while at the same time being proud of the effort and preparation your team gives on both sides of the ball. The two are not mutually exclusive.
I fully expected you to support harbaugh, as I'm sure you expected I would point out his seemingly weekly run-ins with fans, media, and second string players.
MGW, Do you want Harbs to change? or Do you want a different coach?
Sadler – As you know from day one that you met me, I have not been a fan of Harbaugh's. Some questioned why, as he lead the team to 2 straight playoff appearances, etc, etc, etc. I pointed out that I found something disingenuous about him, something amiss. He seemed too robotic, too rehearsed. People asked that I give examples…why, WHY wasn't I a fan? What was there not to like?
Well, it took a while for a lot of fans to come around (some still defend his actions…some of my buddies supported Kyle Boller until the end too, repeatedly boasting his "record"), but more and more people are seeing what I saw a few years ago with the coach. I point these things out only to support the reasons why I didn't care for his approach. I wont convince some as they just focus on the W's and L's, but I think he's more of a benefactor of a perfect storm. His first season, he experienced what I have continually called the "Joe Altobelli Season", players intent on proving to the world that Billick (Weaver) was not the reason for their success. Last year, despite going 1-6 against playoff teams and beating a QB with broken ribs and a bum knee in the playoffs, all I heard was "two years in a row in the playoffs". This year, despite the multitude of stars assembled on this team, they will likely be the 5th or 6th team in the playoffs, and the coach gets his panties in a wad anytime someone questions his authority, be it reporters or fans.
Give me credit for one thing, I've been consistent in my criticism. This is not something new.
That too.
Dom… I commend Harbaugh for visiting our troops overseas. Its a great thing he does. But that doesn't stop him from being arrogant. Hell, I am in contact with our troops everyday because of where I work. Whenever I see a soldier or cross paths with a real American Hero (Soldiers) I call him "Sir" in my dealings with him. That is my small token of appreciation (Respect) I can give to him/her for what they do for me. But you know what? I am still a Redneck. I can still be a Jackass.
I can see the next few comments coming stating that yes Ravens2488 is an ass but I admit to it. Not many people like that I speak my mind and don't hold back. But at the end of the day your still my friend or brother.
Ok Pole, Willo, Sadler, Nephew Zach, lets hear it….
I would never consider you a redneck. You may be an ass though….. BAD ASS!!!!!!!!!!
wow. all of you who are taking this so personally and find harbaugh as being an ass, need to loosen up. it's you people he's referring to find a new team to root for. you don't support him or the team? then stop rooting for them. it's that simple. john's a great coach and he loves his team and is proud of what they have accomplished. there's nothing wrong with that. he has every right to feel that way. I know i do.
I love this "proud of this team" line of thinking…They are in second place, behind a team that didn't have its starting QB for the first four weeks of the season…A team that has blown four fourth quarter leads this season while having The Great Ray Lewis as its "Heart and Soul"…They have a 1st Round Draft Pick at QB…And they're in 2nd Place in their Division…Man, really makes chest swell with pride…Not!
Bruz… let me give you some perspective. My father is a Buffalo Bills fan and while they had a great run in the 90's they haven't sniffed the playoffs in 13 years. So yes, while the Ravens should be better than they are, they are still pretty damn good. So yes…. it's cool to be proud of this team.
For perspective, we need not leave the Twin Stadium Complex in Downtown…I get that…
But this team — the one the Coach is so Proud of — has played two good games this year (Week 5 and Week 9)…With the QB now in his third year…With the HoF MLB healthy…With an All-Pro WR added to the mix this season…With a highly-paid Back-Up Tailback as part of the "three-headed monster" in the backfield…With the best "Field Position Kick-Off Specialist and Punter Tandem in the League"…With Offensive Coordinator-Extraordinaire Cam Cameron back for another year….With a choke-job last Sunday at home with a clear shot to a Division Title on the line…Its just hard to remain excited about this team's prospects…Just as its hard to be excited looking forward without Lewis and Reed and Gregg and Mason in 2011…But I know, I know, at least we have a Coach who is Proud of his boys…Much like all the Volunteer Recreation League Parent-Coaches who are Proud of their teams, no matter what! So maybe that is refreshing, after all…Or maybe its a crock of bull…Or maybe its just a throw-away line and it don't mean nuthin'…
Speaking of which…Stan White and others have been talking this week about "The Ravens redeeming themselves this week"…Can someone tell me what in the Hell that means? Weren't they supposedta be
redeeming themselves from the last five times Big Ben kicked their ass? Or redeeming themselves from late meltdowns vs the Patriots and Falcons?
