Yes.
Yes, he is.
In an interview with WTAE-TV, Harrison told reporters that the invitation to the White House from President Barack Obama was “No big deal.”
“If you want to see the Pittsburgh Steelers, invite us when we don’t win the Super Bowl,” the Steeler’s linebacker said. “I don’t feel like it’s that big a deal to me.”
“So as far as I’m concerned he would have invited Arizona if they had won.”
Mr. Harrison, you’re an idiot. Not only would Arizona have been invited by the President, but they would have given them the Lombardi Trophy and Super Bowl Rings too. You don’t just get invited to the White House to chill with Barack…despite what you may think.
You obviously haven’t realized that the President (whomever he may be) has been inviting the Championship teams of the major sporting events to the White House for as long as I can remember. It’s not like the leader of the free world is asking you for a favor.
You’re a complete moron.
Just another case of an athlete speaking before thinking. He's not the first, nor shall he be the last. If he doesn't want to be there, then it's his loss. It's not really a big deal, but with the NFL as the king of all sports, every tidbit of news, whether important or not, gets magnified way out of proportion.
I agree that this kind of news gets way too much attention, but I think Harrison is making a big deal out of nothing at all. He's embarrassing himself and his team.
