This morning on his facebook fan page Orioles Centerfielder Adam Jones posted:
“Just wanted to THANK ALL OF YOU for your All-Star votes the past couple weeks. I wouldn’t be out there if weren’t for all of you. Look forward to seeing you all at the All-Star game!”

The Birds’ 23 year old is in the middle of just his second full season in the big leagues. Last year the Orioles acquired Jones from the Seattle Mariners in the Erik Bedard trade and he hit .270 with nine homeruns.
Adam’s work ethic is highly underestimated. He came into spring training eager to learn and in the best shape of his life. Thus far 2009 has paid off, Jones is hitting .308 with twelve homeruns at the half way point of the year.
His speed hasn’t missed a beat either and that has led to some outstanding defense. Jones has five outfield assists and a .983 fielding percentage.
Is this the first of many for the Orioles centerfielder Adam Jones?
