Our late Friday afternoon match in the Weaver Region.

We’ve got a couple baseball moments squaring off in this 7 vs. 10 matchup. Let’s meet our lucky contestants.

#7 Manny Machado’s Postseason Home Run

Orioles fans caught a glimpse of their future and it looked bright. Manny Machado became the second youngest player to homer in a postseason game with his bomb in game three of the ALDS against the Yankees. Machado belted an 84 MPH hanging slider over the middle of the plate and put the O’s on the board. Andruw Jones (19) is the youngest player to homer in the playofs.

#10 Earl Weaver’s Statue Is Unveiled

Baltimore lost their greatest manager this winter. Thankfully Earl Weaver was able to watch the O’s return to the playoffs and was able to attend the six Orioles Legend ceremonies. Seeing his statue unveiled must have been quite a moment for the Hall of Famer.
