Lee Evans didn’t miss a beat in his Ravens debut on Friday night. The former Bill joined the Ravens just over a week ago and made an immediate impact for Baltimore in their 31-13 preseason victory over the Kansas City Chiefs.
It’s been reported that Joe Flacco and Evans clicked immediately at training camp and Ravens fans witnessed that new chemistry at M&T Bank Stadium last night. Evans caught three passes for 68 yards, breaking one for 43 yards. He showed off his talents on all three of the catches, the first was a 12 yard slant route for a third down conversion, the second was another third down conversion on 13 yard out route near the sideline and the third was fade route down the sideline that set up the Ravens first touchdown of the game.
“Lee did a good job out there today,” Joe Flacco said according to Aaron Wilson. “It was exciting to see what he could do with his ability to separate.”
Evans proved he can be a dynamic receiver for the Ravens this season providing a various threats to defenses as the the Ravens number two guy.
Maybe, just maybe, the Ravens finally have a legitimate deep threat receiver. Stalworth was overt ed last year with no real credentials under his belt, but Evans could be a difference maker.
Agree , but how does Joe get time to pass down field ? Ozzie has let this team down again this year by not giving the O-line the attention it deserves………….Ozzie is over-rated also………..
