The 40th annual Maryland Madness is set for the Terps on October 14 at 9:30 PM and is open to the public. Doors open at 9 and admission is free. Former coach Lefty Driesell was the first to start the Midnight Madness tradition with having the team do a conditioning run at Byrd Stadium. It has certainly evolved from this and now will include both the men’s and women’s teams with scrimmages by both, a Maryland alumni game as well as performances by the dance team and spirit squad. The men’s squad is a young team with two seniors, a junior, and new coach Mark Turgeon.
