Mike Wright was called up from Triple-A Norfolk earlier this week, and the Orioles needed him to make a spot start Sunday afternoon for the ailing Chris Tillman.
That spot start turned into an impressive performance.
Wright turned in 7.1 scoreless innings scattering four hits on 90 pitches and earning the win.

He struck out six, with the first of those being Mike Trout.

Hopefully this is the first win of many for this young pitcher, who may have stuck his foot in the door of the O’s starting rotation.
