Update: Matt Wieters has been played on the 15-day disabled list to make room for Davis. Now we know why the O’s are looking for a backup catcher.

Chris Davis might be super-human. We kind of already knew that though, right?

Davis wants to come back now. Said he felt fine when he woke up and joked he's tired of seeing Steve Pearce hit home runs. #orioles

After one rehab start in Double-A Bowie, Davis is back in the Baltimore Orioles lineup on Sunday. Davis joked that he’s tired of seeing Steve Pearce hit home runs.
Pearce has three this season.
Davis has just two.
As of this second, the Orioles haven’t announced a corresponding roster move. David Lough is in left field — for some reason. He’s slashing .172/.221/.234. Buck Showalter must really value his defense. I sure hope they don’t DFA Delmon Young. The dude is raking.
I’ll keep you posted on that move.
Davis went 1-for-4 with a pair of strikeouts on Saturday in Bowie.
