How good are the 2012 Baltimore Orioles?
They haven’t been this good since 2005 — pre-collapse of course. As Joe Papparotto on Twitter points out, the Orioles are 14 games over the .500 mark for the first time since June 21, 2005 when they were 42-28.

That means that they’re currently playing their best baseball all season. Watch out, AL East.
The O’s finished 74-88 in 2005. They’re just four wins away from surpassing that mark with 34 games left.
The bottom line is this,,,,,,,,the O’s are in the hunt because the rest of the division is much worse than they normally are and not because the O’s are that much better,,,,,,,,,,,they still are not a good team that can go to a series and most of the fans know it and know the smoke will thin out and mirror will crack come playoff time,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,by the way , please name the last top tier player , in his prime , the O’s acquired to bolster this team ……………..
