With last night’s 4-2 win in Seattle, the Orioles matched their 2011 series win total of 16. If you think this is the same old O’s, you’re clearly wrong.

It’s the halfway point of the 2012 season and the O’s have already equaled their 2011 series success.

Baltimore has struggled of late, but has strung together a nice winning streak of two straight games. At 44-37, they’re sitting an even five games back of the first place Yankees in the AL East.

Thankfully for the Birds, the East has kept them right in the thick of things. Boston has lost three straight and sits in fourth at 42-40 and the Rays have played just as poorly as the O’s. Tampa sits in third place at 43-39, 6.5 back of New York.

If only the Orioles played in any other division.
