The beauty of the Orioles starting 27-15 is that when they lose four of their next six, they still find themselves 10 games above .500.
After breaking out against the Royals and Nationals on the road, Baltimore fell flat with a disappointing 2-4 homestand against the Red Sox and Royals (again). The Orioles lost two one-run games and scored just five runs in the final two games against KC.
It was the Orioles first back-to-back series losses of the season.
This team has proven that they can win on the road, with their 15-6 record away from Camden Yards, and they’ll have to continue the trend if they want to turn things around. The O’s open up a series in Toronto against the Blue Jays, who just lost five in a row against the Rays and Rangers.
Then the Birds head to Tampa Bay and Boston for a couple of three game sets.
Ten games out by the Fourth of July………..
