It should surprise no one that the two Orioles that are receiving the most trade interest are arguably their best starting pitcher and their best relief pitcher. This is a league that lives and dies with guys on the mound.
While our very own trade deadline expert, Mark Brown, will be taking us through the rumors in depth all this week, I figured I would share the latest brief reports on the interest in Jeremy Guthrie and Koji Uehara.
- Jeremy Guthrie is reportedly drawing interest from both the St. Louis Cardinals and the Detroit Tigers according the Jon Paul Morosi of Fox Sports. Zach Links of MLBTradeRumors.com says that the Orioles are “open to the idea of moving Guthrie for the right return.
- Rumors linking Koji Uehara to Pittsburgh continued to surface over the weekend. The Minnesota Twins have also reportedly been in talks with the Orioles as scouts have been exchanged according to Dan Connolly of The Sun.
Both players want to play for a major league team , I hope they get their chance………….
Hmmm these 5 names sound familiar…more on all of them as the week continues
