“Who really cares? You have 81 of those things,” Jets head coach Rex Ryan told Kimberly Jones of NFL.com. “The world champs should open at home.”
The second part is accurate, but I guess Rex, like many misinformed fans/local sports talkers in Baltimore, don’t quite understand the complexity of the scheduling conflict between the Orioles and Ravens. I’ve already written, podcasted and tweeted about it numerous times. In short, the NFL used Rosh Hashanah as an excuse for making the Ravens start their season on the road in Denver.
Mike Florio of ProFootballTalk.com also chimed in with his own inaccurate comment. Misinformation has long been the trend at PFT.
Mark my words…guys (or should I say “guy”) like Anvil, Pole, Slapshot – who have beat up Ryan for years – will now defend him because of this statement.
Anvil, Pole, Slapshot are (is) an antagonist and VERY predictable.
What a dumbass Rex is. Worry about your starting QB not the Orioles or the Ravens. Go and have yourself another 6 win season.
Hey “not so sexy Rex” worry about November 24th and foot fungus, you freak. I can Buck Buck now at the Ravens Jets game cheering on the purple and black.
Buck’s response to this is fantastic. Rex is such an idiot.
Got it all wrong MGW, Rex was an idiot before this, and he’s a bigger idiot after. Too many with an investment in this thing, no one person or entity is to blame. Honestly, I would lean towards the NFL being more to blame than anyone else. 9 inch is right, Rex has more things to worry about than this, turning Sanzchez into a good QB should be high on the list.
Rex is now deflecting comments about his team to himself so that no one notices just how bad his team will be. I loved his defense when he was the coordinator, but so glad he’s moved on. What a douche.
What Rex meant to say is that he wishez he was in Arizona with Mark Sanchez.
According to the Urban Dictionarty:
sanchez – a slang term in Arizona for a man with a huge penis
Spy…you been to Arizona recently?
