Shannon Sharpe calls out Bill Belichick for being a poor sportIn typical Bill Belichick fashion, Bill Belichick declined an interview with CBS’s Steve Tasker after his New England Patriots fell 28-13 to the Baltimore Ravens in Sunday’s AFC Championship game. Belichick went missing last season when his team lost to Giants in the Super Bowl as well.

Former Ravens tight end Shannon Sharpe has had enough of The Hoodie and called him out on his poor continued lack of sportsmanship. “There’s something to be said about being gracious in defeat,” Sharpe told viewers. “We’ve seen the New England Patriots five times in the last 12 years be victorious.  And we’ve seen the opposing coaches that lost come out and talk to our Steve Tasker.  Coach Cowher did it when [the Steelers] lost to them.  We saw this last week [when the Patriots beat the Texans],” he added.

“Bill Belichick makes it real easy for you to root against the Patriots.  You can’t be a poor sport all the time.  You’re not gonna win all the time.  And he does this every time he loses.  It is unacceptable.”

Sharpe is exactly right. It’s bad enough that Belichick shook Harbaugh’s hand with his hood still over his head, shielding his face from the Ravens’ head coach and the cameras of the game broadcast, but then he opted not perform the duties of his job and spend 20 seconds answering three questions an a postgame interview.

On top of being a sore loser, Belichick is also a cheater. A part of his legacy that is often overlooked — although not by Terrell Suggs.
