The Orioles came into Cleveland this week on a roll.  They had just finished taking 3 games from the White Sox in a 4 game series, proceeded by a 3 game series sweep of the Angels.  The question really was: Could they take the enthusiasm and winning fashion with them out of Baltimore? The Birds answered that for us with a simple ‘yes‘.  Although they only won 2 out of the 3 games facing the Indians, the team stayed within reach through all 9 innings of yesterday’s loss.

Here are the numbers behind the Buck madness at Progressive Field:

9 – Innings pitched for Brad Bergesen in his 2-hit complete game win on Wednesday

.167 – Josh Bell’s average coming into this series

.218 – Josh Bell’s average after this series (he went 4-7 in 2 games played)

5 – Number of different Orioles to hit a homerun each in this series (Scott, Pie, Wieters, Patterson, and Roberts)

10 – Number of 2 out RBIs in the series

29 – The Orioles rank in all of baseball, ahead of the Pirates (first time not in last since April 15)
