The Wizards might win single-digit games this season, but they may not be the most hapless iteration of the Bullets/Wizards franchise. Via Basketball Reference, the 1952-53 iteration team began a 32-game road losing streak this week in 1953. It seems they just couldn’t put it together in the friendly confines of the old Baltimore Coliseum (in West Baltimore, Penn North neighborhood, near Coppin State University). They finished 16-64 on the season, and get this, MADE THE NBA PLAYOFFS.

Baltimore would lose the first two in a best-of-three series against the New York Knicks.

The Wizards host the Knicks tonight at Verizon Center, sporting the old Bullets colors and style, of course.
