Ah Steelers week.
Ravens wide receiver Torrey Smith was asked about being matched up against Steelers cornerback Ike Taylor this upcoming week. His response as transcribed by Garrett Downing of BaltimoreRavens.com:
“I haven’t met anyone that talks as much trash as him,” Smith said. “When I get to play him, it’s always pretty fun because I’m not a guy who talks, but he gets it out of me every single time.”
In two games against Pittsburgh last season, Smith was limited to just four receptions for 40 yards and failed to reach the end zone. That wasn’t the case in 2011, when he caught five passes for 71 yards and scored a TD.
Smith added that he laughs at some of the things the fans in Pittsburgh yell at the Ravens when they visit Heinz Field and says that he has “a lot of respect” for Davis. “You know that he’s going to bring it, and you have to bring your ‘A’ game as well.”
