After 2011, the Ravens have brought in some competition for Billy Cundiff at training camp. The Ravens latest kicking competition has taught me one thing — we were all so spoiled during the Matt Stover era.

Thursday in Owings Mills, Billy Cundiff went 4-for-5 in field goal attempts. The Ravens official Twitter feed reports that he “missed one wide right,” while rookie Justin Tucker had the day off.

It was Wednesday’s performance that made the Cundiff-Tucker competition a little more exciting. The Ravens former Pro Bowler only made four of his seven attempts while Tucker connected on five of six. “He made a 60-yarder with room to spare,” Aaron Wilson of Ravens247.com reports.

The undrafted rookie missed wide right from beyond 50 yards.

Ravens head coach John Harbaugh hasn’t given the edge to either of the Ravens kickers.
