Looking to gain a few more two starters for this week. What are some ones you recommend I pick up for tomorrow.

Mike Minor has been great over his last 5 starts. Scoop him if he’s available. Ross Detwiler is also a good 2 start option. Patrick Corbin, Bruce Chen, Jeff Karstens, Blake Beavan, JA Happ, Ross Ohlendorf, and Alex White all have some upside this week. I would probably trust Karstens the most out of those guys. Ohlendorf is inconsistent, but he gets high K’s and plays the terrible Cubs. White was really good in the minors before he was promoted, but the 75 inning Rockies pitch count scares me. The rest are toss ups.

Looks like early season bad luck was your problem. Most people with Adrian Gonzalez are in the same boat. As long as your not too far out you should be able to make a comeback now that Adrian is heating up. You do need a little outfield and pitching help. Who is available? Jump on Wil Myers when he finally comes up. Kendrick, Ludwick, and Kubel aren’t guys I’d want to rely on. I like Hunter as a utiliy, but not as a starter. Pitching wise your okay with Cain, JZimm. Bedard and Kennedy are heating up. Ubaldo is what he is. Sanchez will be fine in Detroit, and Wandy will be fine in Pit. Cahill is a good guy to round out a staff. Masterson is too inconsistent and should probably be cut if there is a better option. I also don’t see a need for Thornton. He doesn’t get saves. I’d fill that spot with another starter. Harvey or Straily if they are available.

I like it. You don’t need much. Not sure why you have Storen. He’s not getting that closer job back. Obviously a catcher upgrade would be nice. If Wil Myers is eligible at catcher in your league, I’d immediately add him when he comes up. He has unbelievable and unfair value in the catcher spot. I think Freeman is the guy you can afford to deal. Once you get Bautista and Stanton back they start. Morse and Hunter move to utiliy. I’d sell high on Kennedy since he’s regained some value. I don’t see the D-Backs hanging in his race. Once they fall out the motivation won’t be the same. Perhaps a Freeman/Kennedy deal for someone like Posey? Maybe Mauer and another piece?

Here is my current team, 12 team points based, max 6 keeper

Whatcha think? I’m 5-10-1 and currently hold the last playoff spot.

Your 5-10 and in a playoff spot? Interesting. Well your pitching is solid. You have nice 1B and OF depth. Your infield is what scares me. You need some 3B help. In a league that deep there probably aren’t any recommendations of guys you can pick up at this point. I’m not sure how your keeper system works but there is no way I would let Matt Moore go. Verlander/Cain/Moore/Wainwright is nice going forward. Not sure why you would need Zobrist. He wouldn’t be on my keeper list. Too bad you can’t keep Jennings too. Ellsbury, Heyward, Verlander, Cain, Moore, Wainwright is who I’d keep.

Yeah 5-10-1, I’m ranked #10 out of 12 teams, top 10 make the playoffs. For keepers, I can keep up to 6 no stipulations, but if I only keep say 3, then I get a pick in round 4,5,6 instead of using those 3 rounds as keepers.
This league seems predominately hitter friendly, so that’s why I was iffy about keeping 4 pitchers…
