Bernard Pollard just gave Patriots fans another reason to hate him. Somehow, I don’t think he’s concerned.
The Baltimore Ravens safety spoke out against Tom Brady’s foot-up slide into his teammate Ed Reed. “If you want to keep this going in the right direction, everyone should be penalized for their actions,” Pollard said according to an AP story.”
He’s right on in that respect. Pollard will likely receive a fine for his helmet-to-helmet hit on Wes Welker on Sunday — his teammate Ray Lewis will probably be getting one too. But somehow Brady leading with his cleats is okay.
Pollard added that Brady “knew what he was doing. It has to go both ways. Hopefully the NFL will do something about it. If they don’t, that’s fine. If they do, then that’s fine.”
I don’t expect the league to do anything. It’s Tom Brady, c’mon.
