Yeah you've got to take advantage of Shields and the Rays in that situation. Good to see Roberts have a battling at bat though…and of course, to come out on top!
Hey, I thought the O's were gonna be fundamentally sound in 2010…And then the slow-footed Atkins tries to score on a two hopper right at the 3rd Basemen? For Chrissakes!
Speaking of fundamentally sound, why is it the O's have their second left-handed "Closer" in as many years? How has that idea worked out for the rest of the league over time? Sheesh! PS Sorry, Sheila, but this is all just too much…Its Opening Day, and its already nuts…No way Atkins ever shouldda tried to score…No way we should have a LEFTY Closer trying to compete against A.Rod and Jeter and Youklis and Longoria and Vernon Wells…Hey Sheila, you going to Opening Day?

top story is about overall stuff tho i meant for each game.
id be in for nightly thread for away games. i tweet tons, 43 already tonight, so id be way interested in that for away games. home games too for the few i dont go to lol
I'm with Matt though. If O's fans are hitting the site during the game, perhaps we could do Open Threads. Would that be something you would be interested in?
lol my dad is from akron ohio so i grew up liking the os and indians but i made that when i was like 8 and the indians were in the playoffs lol. as ive grown up the os have grown on me more and more and now they are basically my life.
MAN…that was close. I was hoping Wieters was going YARD on that one!
How close did Wieters come? I was missed his AB.
Backwords K for Atkins…ouch.
Shields is tough – the O's are going to need to work to put some runs on the board.
No doubt Daniel.
Don't look now, but Millwood has two K's!
He's battling guys too. But I'm sure his pitch count is sky rocketing.

No worse than Shields's was last inning.
JONESY goes yard! I love it.
He was at 38 pitches after 3 innings. Could use a nice 8 pitch inning here.
Now 51 through 3.
Better make that 3 K's. Burrell down.

YAY. baseball!
Jones just went deep.
AJ's dinger seems to have disrupted Shield's rhythm.
O-R-I-O-L-E-S…
Orioles magic, baby!
Markakis strikes again. When will people learn.
LUUUUUUUUUUUUUUKE!!!!!!!!!
O's are timing up Shields nicely. Pie just missed it. Rally time.
Atkins and Pie are rally killers. C-mon B-Rob.
Good ab by Roberts, but we let the Rays off the hook.

Alright Kakes! A double for Nick off Shields. Gotta like that.
Matt Wieters is so good he made Tiger's harem realize they latched onto the wrong guy.
HEY OH!
Matt Albers looking solid! Look out world!

HEY OH!
Albers was huge there.
No doubt. Big double play.
Flashing the leather! Miggy looks like Brooks Robinson out there.
Brooks would have caught that on the fly.
Any SpecialTeamsGuru sightings tonight? Do we know where he is sitting?

Bruz, with runners on 1st and 3rd and no outs the runner has to break for home, on an infield grounder, to avoid the double play.
Hey Z-Man…Ol' Bruz's posts are still coming up as "The Bruz"…Do you need to change that I or do I need to do something? Thanx!
You can change that when you post your comments. The only way I can change it is after you've posted something.

1 for 11 with RISP.
Blown Save.
It's Groundhog Day!
And please, before anyone does it.
Don't tell me about bright spots.
It's a loss. And a terrible one at that.

Sorry was out for the game. Is there one for tonight?
Not a live blog unfortunately. We only do liveblogs for big events.
ah ok. by live blog u mean basically conversation for those watching with no actual article?
Yes indeedy! There's lots of action over on our top story right now though.
If we garner enough interest, i think we could potentially nightly thread….

i would be in for it, as i said for away games. then the home games im not at
Ok cool. For the home games we'll do BSR meet ups at the Yard!
that would be cool if bsr had something at opacy lol
so what's with the name?

Roberts hit .136 with RISP and two outs last year.
Guess he's stickin to the same game plan.
No, he changed it. Now its .000, whether there are runners on base or not.
It should be Lugo tomorrow night so we can get a damn win.
