A Hall of Fame career and breaking Lou Gehrig’s consecutive games streak just wasn’t enough for Cal Ripken Jr. The overachieving Maryland native sunk a hole-in-one at Bulle Rocke in Havre de Grace on Tuesday.
Cal’s company, Ripken Baseball, tweeted the news and posted a great picture of the IronMan on Facebook posing just after it happened. Ripken notched an eagle on a the third hole, a par three from 142 yards.
That’s no cheap hole-in-one.
I was interested to see that Cal is a two golf glove guy. Hey, whatever works.
Congratulations, Cal.
I wonder if Cal changes his stance every 6 weeks…
haha .. thats pretty funny. I have been playing golf for 30 years and have gotten to 6 handicap and have never had a whole-in-one. Annnnnnd I may never have one as well. I look at it as, if you stink, you have more luck in getting one and if you don’t stink, then its harder for you accomplish that. The law of averages.
Rafael Palmeiro scroed a hole in one, the nights went out…..
Golf gloves on both hands??? Maybe he thought he was batting.
