On Tuesday we posted some of the best quotes from Terrell Suggs’ latest battle with Skip Bayless. ESPN released the video of T-Sizzle’s defense of Joe Flacco to the ESPN reporter. Here it is for your viewing pleasure. In an attempt to get the Capitals going after quickly surrendering two quick goals in the first period, John Erskine dropped the gloves and pounded Florida center Bracken Kearns. No matter what you think of referees, I wouldn’t wish what happened to Ron Winter in yesterday’s Ravens-Bengals game on any of them. In the third quarter, Bengals quarterback Andy Dalton threw an interception to Ravens corner back Jimmy Smith, Smith took the ball to the three yard line where he fumbled it and a pile jumped on. In the middle of the pile landed referee Ron Winter. Here’s the video: “You play better football and you win football games like that,” John Harbaugh said after the Ravens week 10 loss against the Seattle Seahawks. As it turned out, Harbaugh would go on to use the word “football” seven more times in just under 30 seconds. I know…I couldn’t believe it either. Here’s video proof. “I’m going back to football and we’ll study the football as a football team, we’ll have our answers in house, we’ll have our answers that will be football related answers and we’ll come out and we’ll play on Sunday. Sunday’s 22-17 loss in Seattle was one that Ravens kick returner David Reed would rather forget. Reed fumbled twice and was penalized for unsportsmanlike conduct. After his critical mistakes, John Harbaugh replaced him with Chris Carr and Torrey Smith. “I let my teammates down, it was bad,” Reed said after the game. ”I’ve got to put two hands on the ball in traffic like that.” Reed seemed baffled by the fumbles, adding that he didn’t fumble at all last season. “I just go to get through this, [it's] a little hump I have to get over. And I will.” Terrell Suggs has been known to give clever school names during his Sunday Night Football introduction. Though he attended Arizona State, Suggs typically gives credit to Donald and Lavern, his parents, in his intro. This week he went with “Ball So Hard University.” The behind the scenes video of Suggs recording the intro is below.
The city of Boston is upset. Two straight years without a playoff berth…are you kidding me? Boston rapper and Red Sox fan Del Rosa put together a catchy song about the $160,000,000 third place Sox. I’m warning you though, you may want to cut your ears off. Get used to this Baltimore. You’ll be seeing a lot of it over the next five years. To cap off an already dominant performance by the Ravens defense, Ray Lewis stripped Rams quarterback Sam Bradford and Haloti Ngata picked up the ball and took it to the house. Ngata signed a five year, $61 million contract extension with the Ravens last week. He’s worth every penny. Coming off a disappointing loss to Matt Hasselbeck’s Tennessee Titans, the 1-1 Baltimore Ravens travel to St. Louis to face the 0-2 Rams. Gametime is 4:00 PM on CBS from Edward Jones Dome. NFL.com’s Pat Kirwan and Jason Horowitz previewed this week three matchup. Last week we told you about the Baltimore Ravens decision to adapt The White Stripes’ “Seven-Nation Army” as a rally song at M&T Bank Stadium. When the song came on last Sunday, the fans chants could be heard on the CBS broadcast of the game. Here’s video of the chant from the cheap seats, if there are such a thing, at M&T Bank Stadium versus the Steelers. Last night during the NFL Network’s debut of their new show “A Football Life,” Patriots head coach Bill Belichick was featured during the Pats 27-21 win per the Ravens in 2009. In the clip below, Belichick yells a few profanities at Mason and finally tells him to “look at the scoreboard.” Don’t worry, it’s a cleaned up PG version. Before kickoff on Sunday, BaltimoreSportsReport.com’s Ravens reporter Edgar Walker gave his thoughts on the Ravens offseason losses and gains as well as his expectations for the 2011 season. What is it with the fashion obsession of the AFC East’s quarterbacks? Here in the AFC North, our guys prefer to spend their time focusing on the game not wearing white paints in GQ or girl’s shoes. Below is Patriots quarterback Tom Brady’s new commercial for UGG’s, which is set to air during week one’s Monday Night Football game on ESPN. At least he got a haircut… sort of. |
