Dez Wells Not Phased By “No Means No” Chants

Dez WellsTuesday night at Northwestern was the Dez Wells show. The Maryland Terps guard totaled a career high 23 points and led his team to a 77-57 victory against a future Big Ten foe.

The 6,009 in attendance heckled Wells the full 40 minutes with a “no means no” chant. But it didn’t seem to slow him down.

“Imagine how it’s going to be at Duke and Carolina,” Wells told The Baltimore Sun’s Jeff Barker. “This is probably light compared to (that).”

Way light, I’d say.

“You have to embrace the hate you get on the road.”

Incredible game last night. 66 percent from the field in the second half. Aronhalt looks legit from outside, love his shot clock expiring three pointer. Len with another double-double, this guy is quick to the basket for a seven footer. Wells made scoring look easy along with Howard running the offense.

They stifled the backdoor offense in the second half. They played 9 guys with double-digit minutes. These kids are looking better and better with every game and could be a force in the ACC.
