The clock is ticking in Baltimore and if the Ravens plan on extending Ray Rice they have until July 16 to get it done.

I don’t see it happening.

In an appearance on 105.7 The Fan this afternoon, Aaron Wilson of the Carroll County Times says he doesn’t think a deal will be reached by the Monday deadline either.

So what are the Ravens plans for Rice?

“There’s a reason the team moved up in the third round to select Bernard Pierce,” Tony Lombardi of writes.  “The bet here is that the Ravens will use the tag on Rice not once but twice and then unfortunately say goodbye.”

It would be unfortunate to see Rice go, but even more unfortunate to lock him up to a Chris Johnson-like deal and watch him under perform.
