Jamison Hensley, formerly of The Baltimore Sun and currently of the world-wide leader (ESPN for those who don’t like jokes), shocked his hometown when he revealed his stunning prediction about the Ravens 2012 season. The University of Maryland grad wrote in his AFC North blog that he doesn’t see the Ravens making the postseason this year.
While I was the only one who didn’t have the Ravens reaching the playoffs for a fifth consecutive season (I know I’m going to be parking five miles away from the stadium on game days because of this), I can pass along some optimistic predictions for John Harbaugh, Joe Flacco and the gang. Baltimore was one of three AFC teams picked by the experts to reach the Super Bowl (sadly, none predicted a Super Bowl title). Brandt, Williamson, NFC East blogger Dan Graziano and NFC North blogger Kevin Seifert all tabbed the Ravens as AFC champions. Only the New England Patriots received more votes.
Good news for Jamison, because every writer and TV personality makes 100 bold predictions of their own, most people will likely never remember this one come January.
We will though.
ESPN is just like anyone else, they have an asshole. Their asshole is named Jamison Hensley.
Hensley, if the Ravens miss the playoffs, I will buy you lunch, if they make the palyoffs, you buy me lunch for a week! Put your money where your pen is.
How bout dem Cowboys???
The Cowboys blow. When will Dez Bryant whip his mama’s ass again?
I didn’t like him with the Sun and I still don’t like him…
Hensley is just like MGW
By that I mean, highly intelligent, vastly superior, head and shoulders above the rest.
Hensley is delusional. Cowboys win the Superbowl? Ravens don’t make the playoffs? Garrett wins coach of the year? Just goes to show that anyone can write for ESPN and make ludicrous predictions.
Why do people care when people don’t pick Baltimore teams? Who cares what they think? We’ll see who’s right at the end of the season.
This is how he makes his money, by opening his mouth and writing an article to accompany it. He’s in a business where he needs to provide viewers to his employer. Whether or not he’s right can only be determined by the results of the games he comments on. Until these results come about, he can only speculate and until these games are played, who cares what he says. In the NFL, teams rise and fall from year to year and to put any weight into anything any of these guys say is a complete waste of time and energy.
