Steelers personal fouls will be limited in week nine against the Ravens as Pittsburgh linebacker James Harrison tweeted that he will not be playing on Sunday Night.
“Saw the doctor today. Looks like I won’t be playing this weekend but at least I’m cleared for practice. Worst case scenario I’ll be back after the bye for sure,” Harrison wrote.
Last year, James Harrison racked up $100 K in fines for dirty hits. This week the Ravens wide receivers don’t need to worry about any helmet to helmet hits or cheap shots as Harrison is sidelined as he recovers from surgery for a fractured orbital socket.
Ow.
Expect less dirty play … So, is Suggs injured, or Ed Reed? The Baltimore Sports Report … putting a biased slant on someone else’s news story since … who knows when.
Oh, wait, this just in. Flacco has shoulder strain, expect less interceptions.
we are now reporting that Nick has left a comment. We should mark this as the kickoff to idiot commenter week!
Go put some french fries on a sandwich and think you are bad ass!
Strange take on this. Since when has James Harrison tagged Baltimore w/ dirty hits. Seems like Hines Ward has more of a history there. Also, he hasn’t been ruled out. Big week for both teams.
Idiot commenter week, really? That’s funny cause I’m sure it’s exactly what they’re saying in Pittsburgh. But no, I’m not from Western, PA, so I don’t claim to have anything to do w/ french fry sandwiches. Just excited for a little revenge. Note to the Harbaughs… watch Tomlin on the Pittsburgh sideline for a lesson on how to win w/ class.
Is this where you tell me your uncle married a girl form steel-town and that makes you eligible to cheer for the Steelers OR are you just another black and yellow bandwagon fan?
Don’t talk about class when you come to a Baltimore site and try to cause trouble.
@Nick,
Not quite sure what to make of you other than you appear to be yet another bandwagon fan that hops on and off when it’s convenient and meets your needs. I know your type, you were a big Red Sox fan too until the whole “chicken and biscuits, beer and porn” thing broke loose and the historical collapse.
So, you confessed that you’re not from western PA, probably have never even set foot in either 3 Rivers or Heinz, yet you look in the standings and decide you’re a Steeler fan. You then pursue a Baltimore Sports site, try to stir up some shit to impress your 11th grade buddies and post some nonsensical crap that says nothing.
Look, I’ve got a good buddy who is a Steeler fan, grew up in WVA just a short drive from Pittsburgh. He knows his stuff, roots for them win or lose, he’s a good fan.
You, my friend, are a clown who cherry picks his favorite teams and drops them like a hot potato whenever they hit a skid. Stop making the real Steeler fans look bad.
BTW, Terry Bradshaw was a QB before he was a commentor.
@NICK – You sound like one of those cheesy “drive-thru-clowns” at the local “Jack-in-the-Box”…
Hello, may I take your order?
Yeah, I want you to drop dead
Hello, may I take your order?
Yes, I order you to shut the hell up!
Hello, may I take your order?
Kiss my ass, Clown!
Look Stud, go back to those low-rent, hole in the wall strip joints in Pennsylvania that you like to visit which are full of old bald men and ugly strippers that look like they could make a better living hanging sheetrock…
Huh, no I’m from Virginia actually, and a Steeler fan all my life. I’ve been to Heinz Field several times. I’ve also been to M&T Bank, where a Ravens fan (probably the intimidator) tried to put a cigarette out on my friend in a Ward jersey. This isn’t Baltimore guys, there are Steeler fans all over the country. Just ’cause I don’t like Primanti Bros’ doesn’t mean I’m not a Steeler fan. Steel mills shut down in the 70’s and 80’s and all those Steeler fans moved everywhere and bred. So, no I’m not a cherry-picker fan. Been to Steeler bars in every city, including Baltimore.
You guys are gonna make Sunday so much fun. What a bunch of assholes… seriously. I only commented on this site because the headline from the above post is retarded, and inaccurate. Honestly, what dirty hits did James Harrison commit against Flacco or the Ravens. Anybody gonna defend that. The guy was fined heavy one season because one of his tough hits just so happened to be on a week when a kid @ Rutgers was hurt really bad. If he’s a dirty player, then so is Suggs or Ngata or every other hard hitting defender. And Harrison hasn’t been ruled out. He’s practicing now.
And what was that about the drive through window? The Intimidator, more like the psychopath. What does that even mean, man? I’m shaking my head here. Started the pre-game early I guess. Weird stuff.
Last post. And Fuck the Ravens, evermore. C
@Nick
I knew it and I should have said it. Another NOVA Steeler “fan”. I noticed you didn’t comment on being a Red Sox fan, but I guarantee you are, but you’d never admit it now. Don’t hurt yourself jumping on and off your perpetual bandwagon.
Wow @NICK, after reading your post I guess Harvards loss is McDonalds gain with you…
@NICK – BTW, I don’t smoke… I would have just beat the shit out of him…
Dude loose the handlebar mustache. Id be willing to bet you ride a harley with screamin eagle pipes (for attention)and have a pretty big gut too. Why do ravens fans/players always have to act like tough asses and talk trash constantly? I think its just jealousy towards the greatest franchise in NFL history. I live in Pittsburgh have had season tickets for as long as i can remember but i dont get bent out of shape about the Steelers or the Ravens. But you gotta keep in mind that this is just an industry and nothing you say or do will affect the outcome of the game. YOU DO NOT PLAY FOR THE RAVENS. QUIT ACTING LIKE YOU DO.
@Just cause Pittsburgh has better linebackers and more class – You pegged me Hoss… Ride a Harley (Women like your wife like Bikers), have a gut, have tattoo sleeves, Fu Manchu mustache (it’s not a handlebar goof), and drink Jack & Coke without the Coke… That’s who I am and proud of it… How about you? What kinda pansy ass are you?
Oh yeah bitch, I’m bald also…

This “article” is a joke. Expect less dirty play? Oh so I guess the Ravens are going to stop going after Casey Hampton’s knees? Probably not. After all, everyone knows if Ray Rice cant run the Ravens dont have a prayer to win. The good news is, the Ravens actually think Flacco is a good QB which means he has the next ten years to cost his team a shot at a championship.
Suggs may “own Ben’s ass” but Ben owns the Ravens.
Win a big game for once, Baltimore.
