There’s no doubt in my mind that Manny Machado will win a Gold Glove down the road. If he keeps making plays like he did on Tuesday night, it might actually be this season.
After watching Evan Longoria vacuum up ground balls at the hot corner, Machado did he best Brooks Robinson impersonation on a hard hit grounder to third off the bat of Desmond Jennings in the ninth inning. The 20-year-old barehanded the ball and tossed it to first for the second out of the ninth.

Looking back through my last, oh, I don’t know, 40 posts, I cannot seem to find one “Pink Hat” reference that I’ve made. I’m sure that custume gets hot and it clouds your perception and maybe even causes lapses in your memory, but as Caps fans we love it when you ride that 4 wheeler on the ice and get the crowd into the game with the “Let’s Go Caps!” chants.
