J.C. Romero is the newest member of the Baltimore Orioles.
And who said this team didn’t make any moves at the trade deadline?
The 36-year-old left handed reliever comes over from the Indians farm system as the Oriole send minor league infielder Carlos Rojas to Cleveland. Romero signed a minor league deal with the Tribe last month. Mike Axisa of MLBTradeRumors.com points out that Romero pitched to a 2.74 ERA in 23 innings at Triple-A this season after giving up 9 runs in 8 innings for the Cardinals earlier this season.
But fear not, the Orioles are expected to use Romero as a lefty specialist. He has held lefties to a .218/.313/.293 slashline in 1, 121 plate appearances over his career.
Can he get guys out? If he can, welcome aboard, if not, goodbye.
WOW,,,,,,,,,what an impact move………there will be no holding the O’s back now,,,,,,,,,,,
We said the same thing about the Quantanilla move. It looks small af first but it has been huge so far. We mako no move, no one is happy, we make small move and no one is happy. Geez, don’t get on the bandwagon too late fellas!
uh, is that the correct picture???
It is said he gets lefties out , not that he is a lefty…………..but it wouldn’t surprise me if Zach and friends show it in reverse……………
Nope, he’s a lefty. I made no mention of what the article said because Zach was correct in mentioning that he has better stats against lefties. I asked about the picture cause the right-hander and the number – I believe he wore 16 with the cardinals.
OK,,,,you are obviously more familiar with him than I’am ,,,,,,I submit to your knowledge , I’m waiting for a response from the site to clear this up as well……………………
I was trying to be kind , obviously you can’t be kind to someone who is incapable of thought…………..
I feel the same about Chowman…
Good one…………
