Inevitably, people will compare Justin Tucker and Billy Cundiff all season long. I’m a big part of that problem, I accept it.
Both players fought on the losing sides on Sunday as the Ravens fell 24-23 to the Eagles and the Redskins fell 31-28 to the Cardinals. But Cundiff missed a potential game-tying field goal, albeit a really difficult one, for Washington.
The former Pro Bowler shanked a 62-yard field goal attempt with 1:13 remaining.
Meanwhile, in the Ravens losing effort rookie Justin Tucker set a franchise record by becoming the first Baltimore kicker to convert two 50+ yard field goals in one game. He tied the franchise record for longest field goal converted, 56 yards.
Cundiff was just 1-for-6 in 2011 from 50+ yards.
