In desperate need of some offensive help, the Orioles could add a corner infielder who could replace Mark Reynolds which could force him off the roster.
But Reynolds isn’t worried about any of that.
“I’ve been around a long time and there’s always things floated around and 90 percent of the things rumored don’t happen,” Reynolds told the Baltimore Sun’s Dan Connolly. “You just take it day by day and when 31st comes and goes, you’ll see where you’re at. I don’t even think about it, I don’t worry about it, you can’t control it.”
The O’s have scored four or fewer runs in 13 of their last 16 games. They’ve been one of the several teams interested in Padres third baseman Chase Headley.
I can take Reynolds hitting his weight if he hits 37 bombs like last year. Hitting .200 and 15 homers ain’t gonna cut it.
Whether he goes now or in ~ 10 weeks, he seems like a good guy…And David Hernadez is sitting on 2 Saves for the D-Backs this year. Not every Trade is gonna get you Frank Robby in return…
Wake up Bruz,,,,,,,,,Reynolds is just more of the same ( second and third tier ) players this team picks up,,,,,,,,,,they are a full time joke,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,name the last top tier player the O’s acquired , remember Jones was a prospect not a top tier player at the time in case you think he is one now,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,”
Easy — Dana Eveland, Endy Chavez, Nick “The Wrist” Johnson, Wilson Betemit! That’s four right off the top! No, seriously…Javy Lopez was coming off a 43 Homer season in 2003 with ATL…Javy would hit just 41 more his final four years in the Majors (three with the O’s and 18 Games with BOSOX)…Hope he enjoyed his $22,500,000 the O’s gave him…
