Another day another good signing for the Orioles. Today they added the versatile Ty Wigginton who spent last season with the Houston Astros.
Wigginton, 31, is predominately a third baseman though he also plays first, second, and the outfield. He hit .285 with 23 homers with 58 RBIs and is a career .270 hitter.
You might remember him from his stay with the Tampa Bay Rays in 2006 and 2007.
This is a great move for the O’s because its one step closer to no more Melvin Mora!
I think we can live without Mora. We need a fresh face in there. This will hopefully work out well for the O’s.
A Melvin Mora-less Orioles team is a team I dream about.
