Terrell Suggs just didn’t look right during the Baltimore Ravens 24-9 victory over the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday. I originally chalked up his ineffectiveness to underperforming in the postseason, but as it turns out, Suggs blamed his play on his injured Achilles which he tore during the offseason.

“My Achilles started acting up, and it felt pretty bad, but I was like, ‘[Expletive] that,’ ” Suggs told Mike Silver of Yahoo! Sports after the game. “I wasn’t going to let a repaired tendon steal our glory. We had work to do. We’re trying to win a championship. And we had to make sure we did this for him him.”

Obviously him is Ray Lewis. And win for him they did.

Suggs tore his Achilles playing basketball back in early May. After the injury was reported, many feared that he would be lost for the season. Suggs’ made an early return in week seven, but tore his biceps in week 13 against the Steelers.

The 2012 Defensive Player of the Year registered just two tackles against Indy on Sunday.
