Joe Flacco leads Ravens to 38-35 victory over BroncosWhat a difference a year makes. Last postseason, Ed Reed told reporters that Joe Flacco looked “rattled” against the Texans. Now the Baltimore Ravens are in New Orleans for Super Bowl XLVII and Flacco is soaking up all the praise.

“He’s been balling,” Terrell Suggs told reporters on Monday. “You don’t have to do much when you got a quarterback that’s balling.”

I can’t argue with that logic.

But to be fair to Suggs, Baltimore’s defense has been “balling” too. As Gregg Rosenthal of points out, they held Peyton Manning and the Bronco’s to 21 points and Tom Brady’s Pats to 13 points.

It all comes down to eliminating big plays on defense and avoiding turnovers on offense. That’s been Baltimore’s recipe for success.

According to Pro Football Focus, Joe Flacco has attempted 116 deep passes this season (20+ yards in the air). He has 15 touchdowns and zero interceptions on those passes. Keep balling, Joe.

  1. The Ravens have not faced a D line like this one , they are fast and strong and are no match for the O-line,,,,,,,,,,Suggs defense better be on their game because I don’t see the Ravens scoring out of the teens…………………….this game will show how slow the over all team speed is,,,,,,,,,,other than two guys , the Ravens are a slow team…………..
