Terrell Suggs could be ready to suit up for the Ravens this week.
Wow. Suddenly some good news from Owings Mills.
ESPN’s Adam Schefter is reporting that Defensive Player of the Year Terrell Suggs is expecting to play for the Baltimore Ravens against the Houston Texans on Sunday. “Sources said that even Suggs’ family and friends have plans to travel to Houston in anticipation of watching him stage one of the quickest returns from this type of significant injury that any athlete ever has,” Schefter writes.
Suggs returned to the practice field on Wednesday after missing the start of the season with an Achilles tear. We talked to Kris Jones of RussellStreetReport.com on the BSR Podcast this week about his potential return and he was optimistic about Suggs’ level of play upon his return this season given the type of surgery he had to undergo.
The return of Sizzle would greatly help out an already struggling Ravens defense who recently lost Ray Lewis and Lardarius Webb. Though how much will he improve their struggles in stopping the run?
Anything can help at this point, I suppose.
Wake up Zach , he is just trying to sell ‘ball so hard’ gear……………….
that would be a miracle. maybe he’ll suit up and and jaw a little, but i don’t think the medical staff will let him bring his helmet out onto the sideline.
This defense will regroup. They’ll be forced to play a lot of the younger guys and it will cause some competition within bringing better play. They may not be top 5 defensively by end of season, but i see this team getting better defensively week after week. The problem is where they begin this week with the Texans. They are really good on offense so any improvement they make will be hard to notice because of how good they are.
Wow, today is my birthday and I could not have thought of a better bday gift. My favorite Raven will be back on the field wreaking havoc on opposing QBs. Welcome back to the Reigning AFC Defensive Player of the year! FEAR THE RANCOR !
Wow, that would be the story of the year. I heard that Sizzle “packed on a few” since his injury. He may be back, but we all remember how he performed when he ballooned up a few years ago. Why not get back into shape and make your triumphant return after the bye?!?
I agee , he looks a little bit like Saragosa……………..
