Sorry, But I Don’t Buy The Ed Reed Injury Story
Ed Reed says he’s hurt, but he told this to a guy he employs.
Pardon my skepticism, but I’m just not buying that Ed Reed is hurt. He didn’t appear on the Baltimore Ravens injury report after practice on Wednesday and he shared the news of his “larbrum tear” with the director of his foundation, Glenn Younes, on his radio show on 105.7 The Fan.
Kris Jones of RussellStreetReport.com acknowledges that Reed has had issues tackling this season, in particular during week six against the Dallas Cowboys, but I have always chalked the lack of fundamentals to the fear of another neck injury for the veteran safety. Jones calculated that Reed missed four tackles which allowed the ‘Boys to gain an additional 56 yards after first contact.
The Ravens seem to be sending mixed signals on their injuries. Adam Schefter of ESPN is reporting that Terrell Suggs plans to make his triumphant return on Sunday from his Achilles tear. Suggs has just one tackle under his belt.
Now, we’re suppose to believe that Reed has a tear in his shoulder after some quotes he told a guy he employs. Something fishy is going on here.
