Despite having an extra week to recover, Steelers safety Troy Polamalu missed Pittsburgh’s practice on Wednesday with a nagging ankle injury.

Polamalu joined Rich Eisen on the Rich Eisen podcast earlier in the week and told him that the extra week of rest was huge for him after having been banged up all year. While he didn’t give Eisen a percentage as to how healthy he was feeling, he did say that even the healthiest NFL players aren’t at 100% a this point in the season.

While the Ravens should expect to see Polamalu suit up, his level of play may be a question if he misses a practice in the middle of the week.

The Ravens enter the game looking more healthy than they did against Pittsburgh last go around. Both Todd Heap and LeRon McClain will be back and despite Matt Birk and Donte Stallworth missing Wednesday, both are also expected to suit up.
