Wednesday at their practice complex, the Washington Capitals debuted their Charlie Sheen-esque “Winning” t-shirts. Hours later, they were completely sold out.
You can reserve a shirt by filling out the pre-order form at the Kettler Ice Complex. The first batch sold for $17.99 a shirt.
I’d buy one if it said…
“Winning…duh!”
Pardon me, but these are idiotic. Maybe this is just Grandpa Gilmore talking, but these will seem passe and irrelevant sooner rather than later (in relation to Charles “The Machine” Sheen) and will be relegated to sleepwear when the bandwagon Caps fans depart once the Redskins come back from the lockout and we still (gasp!) haven’t won a Stanley Cup in the 2 years they’ve been following the team.
I see where you’re coming from. The whole Charlie Sheen fiasco will blow over eventually and we’ll forgot it ever happened. The Caps definitely cashed in on the trend though.
Grandpa Gilmore you dont need one of these shirts yours would read “LOSING” you Troll!!!
@Tate – Do you qualify as a “troll” if you write a weekly Caps article for the site you’re commenting on?
I love Hendricks!
What a hottie.
Love,
Courtney B
Dear Mr. Hendricks;
Will you marry me, then give me a Pick Sock?
Love Courtney
@Courtney B – I second that girlfriend, he is YUMMY!
@Dave Gilmore
Scram old man! Talk about bandwagon fans! I’ve been a caps fan for years and that shirt is awesome, regardless if we have won a cup or not. Have some faith in our boys! They always win in my heart!
