Complaining about poor attendance has become my national past time.
Last night, the University of Maryland was to blame for failing to show their support for what should be the most exciting men’s basketball team in recent history. 8,724 showed up at the Comcast Center for the Terps home opener against Morehead State just three days after Maryland hung in with #3 Kentucky.
“I’d like to see more fans come out and support us,” Dez Wells told The Baltimore Sun’s Jeff Barker after the game.
Me too, Dez. 36,000 students attend classes at College Park. What the hell were they all doing last night?
Don’t tell me they’re still in football-mode.
It’s Morehead State. Any top 25 team right now has a low turnout for teams like Morehead State. Did you go to the game Zach?
