Thursday night, the Baltimore Orioles began a new extra-inning win streak. They’re currently at one after defeating the New York Yankees 2-1 in 13 innings.
After the game, WBAL’s Pete Gilbert tweeted that the O’s seemed focused in the locker room. “There was no celebration in the O’s club house,” he wrote. “Just simple message of more work to do.”
“We just kept telling ourselves, this is not the last night of the season,” J.J. Hardy, who drove in the game winning run, told MLB.com’s Brittany Ghiroli.
It’s a winner take all matchup this evening against the Yankees and the Orioles pitchers won’t have to face Alex Rodriguez as he’s been benched by skipper Joe Girardi.
