Rangers: 6 Orioles: 5
RECAP: O’s Rally in the 9th, but come up short despite big crowd.
Le’Ron McClain threw out the first pitch tonight at Camden Yards for the Orioles and Ravens Draft day promotion. With 41,160 in attendance, it was the biggest walk up attendance in the history of Oriole Park (over 12,000).

Now lets get to the actual game… Yes, despite what ESPN tells you baseball was played by all Major League teams tonight.
Mark Hendrickson had a rough start. In 4 1/3 innings he gave up 4 homeruns, two off the bat of Ian Kinsler. Hendrickson allowed 6 earned runs.
Brian Bass came in relief of the starter and pitched 3 2/3 allowing only 2 hits. Bass has improved over his past few appearances and has found his spot as the long reliever in the Orioles bullpen. With this rotation he’ll get plenty of shots.
Another error was recorded for the O’s on Saturday. Their defense has really struggled as of late. While Cesar Izturis takes the fall for this one, I blame it on Felix Pie who allowed the shortstop to try and cover a fly ball to shallow left field. Pie must have misplayed the ball because by the time he reached the dropped bloop off Izturis’ glove Adam Jones was there too.
Ty Wigginton had a 2 hit game, an RBI single that scored Nick Markakis in the 4th and a solo homerun in the 6th.
The Orioles made things interesting in the bottom of the 9th inning. Lou Montanez had a big single, followed by a Cesar Izturis RBI double, then Adam Jones scored 2 off a single into right center.
It wouldn’t be enough for the O’s though. Markakis struck out and Huff flew out to left to end it.
The Orioles face Texas in the final game of the 3 game series on Sunday at 1:30 PM.
