On Tuesday, it was reported by MASNsports.com that the team intends on sending starting third baseman Melvin Mora to the disabled list.  Replacing him on the big league squad will be reliever Matt Albers, who was recently demoted to Triple-A Norfolk to make room for starter Adam Eaton.

It is currently unknown how long Mora will be out, so it appears as though newly acquired utility man Ty Wigginton will be manning third base for the time being.  Wiggy should be a solid option while Mora recovers, bringing both power and an RBI threat to the number six spot in the lineup.

So, to recap, Mora will be sent down to the DL, Matt Albers is being called up to bring the number of pitchers on the team to 13, and Ty Wigginton should be taking Melvin’s spot for now.
